日本発で世界にアピールするニュースを見ながら
一昨年、フロリダ州キーウエストを訪ねた時の事を思い出した

While watching the news of G7 appeal to the world from Japan
I remembered that when I visited Key West,FL, 2years ago
キーウエストではヘミングウェイの家や
原爆投下の最終判断をしたトルーマン大統領の別邸・リトルホワイトハウス
アメリカ最南端の地
とかを速足で回ったのだけれど
このニュースを見ながら
Southernmost Point の近くの土産物屋のお兄ちゃんとの会話を思い出した
In Key West, I visited Hemingway home and
Little White House, President Truman
who made final decision of dropping atomic bomb at Hiroshima,
and Southernmost Point, The land of the United States southernmost
various places , such as quickly.
But I was watching that news
I remembered a conversation with clerk of the nearby souvenir shop of Southernmost Point
(He is nice guy!)
最南端の地の土産を選んだ後
気のいい彼は、僕が日本人だと知ると来年日本に行くんだと言った
トーキョー・キョート、それにおいしい寿司を食べに行くと。
キーウエストの魚も美味しかったけど、日本で食べる寿司は最高だよ
などと話をしているうち、
彼はヒロシマにも行くんだという
トルーマンの別邸を見た後だったので、
WWⅡのメモリアルがあるから、しっかり見てほしい、と口に出てしまった
After choosing a souvenir of the southernmost point
he recognized I'm Japanese, He said to me that He has plan visiting to Japan next year
and wanted to visit Tokyo,Kyoto, and to eat sushi.
So I said 'Sea foods in Key West are delicious. But sushi is more delicious in Japan.
Japanese are specialist of sushi'
Then he said that he also had plan to visit Hiroshima.
Cuz after visiting Truman's villa,
I said that 'In Hiroshima、 there is a memorial of WWⅡ,
I want to you to feel the memorial'.
一瞬、彼の表情が曇ったので
戦時下では人間は人間らしさを失ってしまう、とか言葉をつないだ
でも絶対に見る価値はあるよ、運が良ければ会えるね、と言ったあたりで
彼もこの日本人をフォローするタイミングを探していたんだと思う
同じ言葉を唱えて、拳をぶつけ合った
'Next Year！’
Moment , his face became cloudy,
so I said 'under the wartime ,human beings loses the humanity , and in order to....'
I connected and searched next word,
’We will meet with any luck...'

we said 'Next Year！ '
