広島を改易になった福島正則の菩提寺。天井の葛飾北斎の20畳大の鳳凰画でも、小林一茶の「痩せ蛙～」を詠んだ場所としても著名。 山間の文化集落の姿は健在。
Ganshoin is a temple to Soto sect of Zen buddhism.This temple has 3 famous points.
Masanori Fukushima,unluck daimyo samurai edo-piriod dead hear. And Hokusai Katsushika,famous artist in edo piriod,drew the roof great Phoenix. And 3, Issa Kobayashi,he is famous haiku poet,recited a haiku poem which has become on of his most well known verves.(He picked up frogs on theme！)
